Denny Ilett is a guitarist with an exceptional versatility which has made him a highly sought-after educator in all things guitar related. He is a master of a wide array of styles from classic gypsy jazz, big band swing, blues, bebop, funk and rock which has enriched his teaching methodology and inspired countless guitarists. Through his work as a private teacher and in various educational facilities such as Bristol University, Bath Spa University, the International Guitar Foundation and the online resource JTC Guitar, Denny Ilett has helped produce a multitude of successful professional musicians over the past 30 years.

Denny draws his inspiration from a diverse range of legendary guitarists including Django Reinhardt, Charlie Christian, T-Bone Walker, Wes Montgomery, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page and John Scofield. These contrasting influences  afford Denny a unique insight into various guitar techniques and musical approaches. 

Denny has a unique ability to relate to his students and adapt his teaching style to meet their individual needs which has made him an exceptional and inspiring mentor. Denny’s teaching philosophy is based around developing technical proficiency in line with individual creativity and musical expression.
